On Feburay 13 was our Playoff game for our girls Hawkins soccer team was a loss. Our girls played amazing that it led to overtime and pentails. The first half of this game started off strong with pressure on players and the nerves everywhere.  Hawkins had a mindset to win it but both schools were going back and forth with the ball and the pressure to score. The first half  felt quick that no goals were scored since both of teams were head to head.  Both teams were tired but wanted it all. Hawkins wanted the win as bad as Arleta. During half time our Captain Lucero Hernandez gave the girls a talk to keep going,how good they’re doing, and things they can improve on. Half time was over and the girls were ready to keep going. Both teams were still pushing forward but no goals were scored for both teams. We had went overtime and put in our all to score but still no goals for both teams. After we had to go to penalty’s in order to win. Lucero Hernandez, Christine Hernandez, Genesis Hernandez,Danilela Vergada, and Arlene Sliva were the girls that were chosen to take penalty’s. We did our prayer before shooting and everyone nerves were up. Our teammates were supporting us from the sidelines and were nervous.  Our goalie Destiny Diaz blocked their first shot,but the goalie from Arleta blocked our shot as well. Their teammate ended up scoring one of the penalty’s and Hawkins still had none. Hawkins kept trying to shot but made none. Arleta made one goal and they took the Win. After tears, happy moments, and many speeches Hawkins Girls Soccer Season Officially ended. They had a good season becoming League champs, having a good team, good coaches but unfortunately Hawkins lost their season.
