Many don’t know about Educare but then when you really get to know at least one of the staff will get more people attracted and create a space where students can go to someone. Getting advice or just talking in general is helpful, especially if someone is going through the same thing.

Brianna Martinez Garcia, Photography
Brianna Martinez Garcia is in the class of 2026. This is her second year at Augustus Hawkins High School. After two big impacts in her life, which were when she moved from New Jersey to Florida and now California (Los Angeles). She really enjoys listening to music and wants to learn more about photography. The goal she has for the future is to attend university for marketing. She loves to have quality time with friends and family and she is that friend who will be there for them in the good and bad times.
Katie Loza, Marketing
Part of the class of 2028, Katie Loza is a student with big ambitions. She likes the little things, “It doesn’t have to be extravagant,” and she’s not afraid to go beyond what’s normal for her age. Something unique about Katie is the fun she finds in drawing funny illustrations. She loves finding ways to make people laugh and smile. One of her biggest dreams in life is to use her skills to give back to the community. She is always working hard to make herself and her family proud.

Erik Maldonado (class of 2026) is an outstanding student athlete with a 3.6 GPA. An outstanding football player heading on into his senior season to where it might be his last. He showcases his exceptional skills on and off the field demonstrating honesty, commitment, and leadership. He shows off these leadership capabilities with his strong communication skills and the ability to motivate. As he approaches the beginning of his senior season but the end of his high school career he is met with the decision of which college to go to. As this obstacle is coming up, he will stick to his football passion and attend college for either kinesiology, exercise science, sports management, physical education, sports coaching, or sports medicine.
