Virality
There have been so many videos, gameplays, and posts on this game. Genshin had skyrocketed in a variety of ways. The virality of the game boomed like a domino effect. Besides the influence of content creators, other factors like marketing pushed viewers to play.
Targeted advertisements for Genshin were selected to show up in social media, especially in TikTok and Twitter. I started playing this game because I saw a TikTok advertisement forced on me by the algorithm. It showed up in the spaces where I game and my friends also recommended playing it. I was convinced, and when I did play the game, I ended up liking everything about it; the controls were complex, the graphics were so clean and there was so much I could do.
