We have all heard of the Little Nightmares’ games right?
If you haven’t, let me give you a bit of more information on it.
Background
There are around 3 Little Nightmares games + a DLC in the first game. The concept of Little Nightmares is you play as these small children in a surreal, horrifying world popul
ated by distorted adults. The game is a metaphor to children’s fears, loss of innocence, and the oppressed nature of society, as the protagonist’s small size and weakness contrast to the grotesque “adult” monsters. The game has no dialogue as it is a puzzle-platform horror game which makes you think of the actions you need to do to get past a part of the game.
Characters

This is the main protagonist of the first Little Nightmares game, Six. She is trapped in the place called The MAW. Many kids before her have given up from trying to escape the MAW but Six is different, she is strong, tough, and feels she belongs elsewhere. Six does not speak but her personality is seen through her actions. She doesn’t care who else is trapped in the MAW, as long as she can be free herself as she doesn’t trust anyone. She also appears in the 2nd little nightmares game, tagging along with the main protagonist.

This is the main protagonist of the second Little Nightmares game, Mono. Instead of being trapped in the MAW, like Six was, we follow him in his journey to survive the Pale City. Mono has supernatural abilities, being able to phase from one television to another. Like Six, he doesn’t speak but his personality shows through his actions, as it is seen he is very protective and helps others. In the game, he is seen protecting, assisting Six and always staying by her side.

This is the main protagonist of the DLC in the first Little Nightmares game, the Runaway Kid. He doesn’t have a name but many people online call him “Seven” or “The kid”. He also resides in the MAW, where Six is, but instead he explores the lower depths that we don’t see in the main game. Similar to Six, he has a strong desire to escape the MAW, but unlike Six, he is willing to gather help from others to try and work to escape the MAW.

This is one of the main protagonists of the third Little Nightmares game, Alone. She acts as a to Low, the other main protagonist of the third game, as you can play as both characters. Alone shows a degree of anti-hero characteristics as she is unwilling to help other captured children who are not Low, as she and Low have a special connection with each other.

This is the other main protagonist of the third Little Nightmares game, Low. He lives in the Spiral for many years, never losing hope that one day he could escape and find his way home. He’s described as an imaginative boy with and archer’s eye and a firm belief that he knows a way to escape the Nowhere. Low never gives up and wants to escape the Nowhere with his companion, Alone. He always makes sure that Alone is doing okay and seems to care about her. He has supernatural abilities, being able to phase through a mirror to a different place in the Spiral.
Review
I really enjoyed playing the third game of the Little Nightmares franchise. Just like the other games, it was a fun experience to play, being able to figure out everything on my own with no dialogue, just using my brain and everything around the game. I loved how the aspect of the game looked, the quality, the backgrounds, the antagonists, the characters, everything. This video game is in my top 3 video games. I will give this game a 10/10. I love all of the characters, the antagonists, the background of the game, the ambiance, the music, everything. If you just want to play a puzzle game, this would be the right game for you, especially with all the lore that comes along with the game, especially the endings from each game, they really make you think about the lore and how it all connects together.
