The Boys Varsity soccer team finally sees a win this season by winning against Middle College with a 2-0 scoreline in a fantastic game Wednesday night. The boys are now at a 1-1 win/loss rate for home games.

The Varsity team coming from the lockers and going to get prepared for the match ahead of them. With their coach Rutilo Perez and player Brayn Ceja leading the line.

The team taking a picture before the game showing that they are prepared to give it their all to gain the first win of the season. Welcoming guest players Amari Robinson, Andres Pedro, Mathew Gurrola, and Francisco Guiltron to the lineup for this game.

CJ yet again provides his speed in attack creating chances and shooting the ball when he sees a chance. He was persistent and always showing spirit when building up play as well as providing assistance in defence.

Senior player Bryan Ceja played amazingly despite being moved from his usual defensive position in the back to the middle. Providing his defensive awareness and passing capabilities.

Milton Zuniga opened the score sheet by making a top right corner goal, beating the keeper in a near post shot. A well deserved goal for him due to his persistence at goal when building up play and attacking.

During the half time the coach gave the team a pep talk to motivate them to continue their attacks and mentality into the second half.

Later there would be a goal by Christian Martinez making the score 2-0, by timing his run and controlling the ball from a cross. He gets it past the keeper and shoots the ball into an open net.


There later would be many chances to score as well as two very close opportunities to raise the score by one, yet they all fell a little short. They were able to keep the opposing team from going close to their own goal, rarely letting them through. With all the guest players from JV playing as if they were playing for Varsity since the beginning.
