Augustus Hawkins High School was filled with spooky fun and creative energy this Halloween as students and teachers joined in on the school’s annual Halloween celebration! The hallways transformed into a festive showcase of decorated doors, clever costumes, and plenty of school spirit. Teachers went all out this year, dressing up in a variety of fun and frightful costumes from classic movie characters to creative group themes. As we saw throughout the day, teachers were dressed up as the whole Adams family.
Each classroom door became a work of art as teachers and students teamed up to turn ordinary entrances into eerie masterpieces. Cobwebs, blood, ghosts, and famous movie decors covered the hallways, making every corner of the school feel alive with Halloween magic. A student said:
The event was a great reminder of the strong sense of community at Augustus Hawkins High School, and how a little creativity can bring everyone together. With laughter, photos, and plenty of candy, this year’s Halloween celebration was definitely one to remember!
As the day came to an end, the excitement continued with a friendly costume and door-decorating contest, where students and staff voted for their favorites. Winners were announced over the loudspeaker, bringing cheers and applause throughout the halls. From spooky to silly, every participant showcased their creativity and school pride. The celebration not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students and teachers but also strengthened the sense of togetherness that makes Augustus Hawkins High School such a special place to learn and grow.
