STRIKE UPDATES

We’re back in school now, but the fight’s not over. Bus drivers, campus aids, and cafeteria workers went on strike and teachers went out in solidarity with them to strike last week from March 21st to March 23rd. Both sides are talking, but now they have a mediator. I hope they come to an agreement soon. (UPDATE — SEIU and LAUSD have reached a tentative agreement. All that’s left now is a vote by the members to accept or reject.)

EVENTS

Today our Baseball team will be playing an away game against WISH Academy High School from 3:00-5:00 pm and on Wednesday they have a home game at the same time against Washington Preparatory High School. Be there to support our Hawks!

This Thursday, Student-led Conferences are scheduled from 5pm to 7pm. Students get community hours when an adult attends with you.

SPRING BREAK

School is closed for Cesar Chavez Day on Friday, March 31st and then we’re off to Spring break that starts on April 3rd and classes resume Monday, April 10th.
