U.S. border, United States-May 11, 2023-With less than 24 hours until Title 42 expires, U.S. border patrol agents lead a group of women to vehicles headed to processing. Migrants hoping to cross into the United States from Tijuana, Mexico on May 11, 2023 are being processed more quickly as the deadline approaches. Some migrants have been waiting a week in an area south of the second border wall in anticipation of a change in immigration policy, Title 42, which may allow them to apply for asylum. U.S. border patrol agents give out one bottle of water and one granola bar to each person. There are approximately 500 people in this one camp. (Carolyn Cole / Los Angeles Times)
