The Advocate is the student newspaper of Augustus F. Hawkins High School Community School, School for Advanced Studies and C:/DAGS Magnet in Los Angeles. The opinions expressed in bylined commentary, articles, and columns represent the views of individual writers and are not necessarily the views of The Advocate or the editorial board.

Printing costs are covered by advertising sold throughout the year and other fundraising campaigns. The newspaper is printed on a tabloid newsprint and varies in length from 8 to 16 pages.
