BSAP Goes To The Sofi Stadium

Craig Stewart, reporter

BSAP and BSU members were given the opportunity to go on a tour at the Sofi Stadium on February 22, 2023, and I’m writing about my experience there. The reason we went and were able to go to the stadium tour is because our dean DR Witt witch is our BSAP/BSU Leader scheduled the field trip as an event for the African American students in Hawkins high school during black history month so we can do fun activities. Anyways, back to the event, it was a fun field trip because we got access to places others aren’t allowed to be at  for example,

  • the VIP section
  • the announcer booth
  • the locker rooms.

After the tour, we were able to play on the football field and have a football game. There were also field events such as the forty-yard dash, kicking the ball in the goal post, and throwing the ball in the ball machine, Some kids chose to do the field event but mainly of the kids were on the other half of the field playing 7on7. The first 7on7 football game we had was kids from Hawkins playing against each other the teams was team Craig vs team G2 but of course, team Craig won the game then after that game was over that’s when we saw kids from Santa Monica high school and ran a 7on7 game with them. The game was a close game but Santa Monica came back and beat us by a point, but overall that was my experience at the Sofi Stadium if I had to rate the stadium and tour I would give it 8.5 out of 10 because I think we should’ve had more time to play and hang around.
