This is an important topic because it affects many females and others in the world who are in an emergency situation to use contraceptives and the Supreme Court’s decision will make it more difficult for many Americans to obtain abortion pills.

According to the lawsuit, the abortion pill ban violated the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause because Congress gave the FDA the power to regulate drugs. The clause gives federal laws priority over conflicting state laws. Medication abortions make up more than half of U.S. abortions. Misoprostol is the second drug of the two-drug regimen for medication abortions. Misoprostol is used to decrease the chance of having stomach ulcers which can bleed after taking an abortion pill that isn’t put in full effect, you can be cramping, and bleeding for a few weeks into post abortion.

Many countries have strict laws regarding abortion and this is an essential part of a woman’s healthcare, it’s not the governor’s choice to ban it since it’s a woman’s choice to use it but there are some states that are Near a total ban towards abortion pills like Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

One of the main concerns with banning abortion pills is that it can lead to severe complications. Taking multiple pills at once can lead to heavy bleeding, infection, and even organ damage. Banning abortion pills can lead to a lack of proper medical supervision because one wouldn’t know how to take care of a situation if an emergency occurred, making sure the person is safe and healthy when making that choice of abortion.

In conclusion, banning abortion pills is controversial, many people disagree with it since there was a poll for people to vote on by NORC. NORC is a research and analysis federal contractor. It was shown that 87% of people who voted support the medical procedure and not ban abortion for major reasons when it comes to cases like rape, if the child would be born with a life threatening illness, and or when the woman’s life is in danger. These are real life situations that can occur anytime which is why banning abortion pills shouldn’t happen, it’s all a woman’s choice and not for a man working for the government who has the power to have a say in it. It’s important for people to be safe and seek a doctor to help with safe and legal abortion options and not do anything dangerous to prevent not having a kid during pregnancy when the pill is the safest option, banning abortion pills should be prohibited.
