Exhausted and overworked students trudge their way to the mini markets for a boost of energy that comes from, none other than, a Monster energy drink. As a Monster enthusiast, I understand the health conditions that come with drinking energy drinks, so for my safety, this is a joke, but the ranking is legitimate.

10. Original Green (OG) Monster Energy

This one is coming in last because it tastes like battery acid (rightfully so), and while it is a staple in the community, originality just can’t justify its taste.

9.  Monster Ultra Watermelon

While the taste of watermelon is there, you never want to drink this flavor when it’s lukewarm or sat in your backpack too long..It loses points for tasting terrible when it’s a hot day.

8. Juice Monster Aussie Style Lemonade

While this one happens to be one of my personal favorites, I cannot lie to my readers. The aftertaste to this one is horrendous and leaves your mouth with a dry-like pasty taste. The flavor itself is wonderful, but the after taste is terrible. Hence its standing.

7. Mango Loco

True to its name, Mango Loco tastes exactly as it’s read. Filled with Mangoes, and if you are a crazy mango enthusiast, then this is the flavor for you, but for me it’s a bit overpowered. I love the taste, but it’s a bit too much for the morning.

6. Bad Apple

Bad Apple is one of the new flavors that Monster had came out with, and as expected, it tasted amazing. It does not have a low ranking nor high as it didn’t impress too much, but it is still a great taste for lunch.

5. Zero Ultra

Everyone’s safe pick and favorite is my checkpoint for this list. While it is a generally liked monster flavor, it tends to get tiring fast. It is a safe pick as it has a, what I would consider, “normal” flavor, but it doesn’t wow me. It’s a simple fan favorite for any day if you were ever in a rush.

4. Viking Berry

Viking Berry is a flavor that is sweet but cooling on a nice day. You can drink this immediately or let it simmer in your bag and it still retains it’s flavor throughout the day. It tastes like berries and its not too sweet, making it a great pick for an early morning run.

3. White Pineapple

While I never see White Pineapple in stores anymore, it is a flavor that I haven’t been able to forget. Like an ex that won’t leave your mind, white pineapple hasn’t left mine. I have not forgotten the taste even when I drank it around 2 years ago. The flavor is simply immaculate that embedded its flavor into me. We are interlinked. As one.

2. Pipeline Punch

Not only is it a pretty can, but the color of it is also pink/coral. It is super cute and the flavor tastes like a soft passion fruit that comes together in a tropical mix that makes this flavor one of my favorites. To be fair, I love anything “punch-y” whether it be fruit punch or a berry punch. This flavor just..speaks to me. Words can’t explain how buss it is.

1. Pacific Punch

Coming in at number 1, its my favorite. Pacific Punch. The can is beautifully made and the flavor is an exact replica of the can. Beautiful. The taste is fruit punch and I remember when I tried it the first time. I remember it fondly. It was late at a 7-11 store, and I saw the can in the back with the freezers. I reached for it and paid for it. I opened it when I got home, along with some XXX Flaming Hot Cheetos and watching Kubz Scouts’ new (at the time) horror game compilation. I will never forget how good and refreshing the first sip was. Pacific Punch is simply top tier.

Ending on that note, this is completely up to opinion and up for debate. Nothing is set in stone and I’m sure others have different picks for their own list, but I simply wish to help students who happen to be rushing to school, exhausted from staying up late last night, time crunching because they decided to leave it to chance (Last minute). Everyone deserves energy and if you need energy, might as well have a great flavor behind it, to pack that punch.
