It’s hard to believe I’m writing this, but here it is my last article. Looking back, joining journalism was one of the best decisions I made in high school. I honestly regret not pushing harder to get into this class sooner. It’s been such a unique experience. Not only did I get to meet students from different grade levels, but I even had the opportunity to travel out of state because of this class. That’s something I’ll always be grateful for. Journalism was never boring. There was always something exciting, new, or interesting going on. Whether it was covering what’s happening around school, learning about our neighborhood, or celebrating our school’s accomplishments there was always a story to tell. I really enjoyed taking photos and writing articles about the moments that matter. It felt good to capture what makes our school community special. This class gave me a space to express myself and be creative. It taught me how to pay attention, how to ask better questions, and how to tell stories that people care about. And even more than that, it gave me memories I’ll carry with me.Now that I’m graduating, it feels bittersweet. It’s my senior year, and as I get ready to take the next step, I just want to say thank you to the class, the people, and the experiences that made it all worthwhile. One of my favorite quotes from the Disney channel is “Enjoy, it feels like a party every day!” and it really did if i’m being honest.
